Terms and conditions
Ground rules for using PsychReferral
These terms explain the intended use of PsychReferral as a professional network for verified UK psychologists. They are written to make the platform boundaries clear on the public site.
This page is a public-facing summary of the service terms. It makes clear that PsychReferral is an invite-only professional network, that referral content should remain anonymised, and that moderation sits at the heart of the discussion spaces.
Eligibility and access
PsychReferral is intended for verified psychologists in the UK. Registration is invite-only and access may be limited, delayed, or refused where verification cannot be completed.
Creating an account does not guarantee approval. Full access to referrals and member discussions is only granted after verification is complete.
Acceptable use
You must use PsychReferral in a professional manner and only for lawful, legitimate purposes connected with referral sharing, professional discussion, or account administration.
You must not misuse the service, interfere with platform security, attempt to access another member's account, or use the public or member areas to send spam or unrelated promotional material.
Referral content and anonymisation
Referral summaries shared through PsychReferral are intended to remain anonymised. You must not upload or disclose patient-identifiable information unless and until an appropriate lawful basis and workflow outside the public network applies.
You remain responsible for the content you post and for ensuring that your use of the service meets your own professional, legal, and regulatory obligations.
Discussion spaces and moderation
Member discussion spaces are provided for professional exchange between verified members. Content may be moderated, edited, removed, or restricted where it breaches community expectations, privacy requirements, or platform rules.
PsychReferral may suspend or remove access where behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with the intended professional use of the network.
Availability, liability, and changes
PsychReferral is provided on an as-available basis. We may update, pause, or withdraw parts of the service at any time, including features, moderation tools, referral workflows, or public-site content.
Nothing on the platform amounts to legal advice, clinical supervision, crisis support, or a guarantee that a referral will be taken up. Formal operator details, governing law, and contact details will be added before public launch.
