How PsychReferral handles service information
PsychReferral is a professional network for verified UK psychologists. This page explains the main categories of information involved in running the public site, the member platform, and the referral and discussion workflow.
The public site should make it clear that clinician account information, anonymised referral content, discussion activity, and public contact enquiries are handled for the purpose of operating the service and maintaining a professional network.
What this page covers
This public privacy page explains, at a high level, how PsychReferral handles information connected with clinician accounts, referral activity, member discussions, and public contact enquiries.
It does not replace the professional judgement or regulatory responsibilities of members. Formal data-controller details will be added before public launch.
Clinician account information
PsychReferral stores account and profile information provided during registration and account management, such as name, professional details, contact information, and profile preferences.
This information is used to operate the service, verify membership, support the referral workflow, and manage member communication settings.
Referral and discussion content
Members are expected to keep referral content anonymised and should not post patient-identifiable information into the network. Referral content and discussion posts may be processed to operate the platform, support moderation, and maintain service integrity.
Discussion activity, moderation records, and related platform logs may be retained where needed for safety, administration, or compliance purposes.
Contact enquiries and public forms
If you use the public contact form, your submission is processed through Netlify Forms so that the PsychReferral team can review and respond to your enquiry.
Please do not use the public contact form to send patient-identifiable information or urgent clinical material.
Service providers and hosting
PsychReferral uses third-party infrastructure to operate the service, including Supabase for application data and Netlify for site hosting and form handling.
Where third-party providers are used, information is processed only to the extent needed to deliver the service and supporting administration.
Your choices and future updates
Members can manage communication preferences within their account where those controls are available. Public-site details, retention wording, and formal operator contact details will be expanded before public launch.
If the platform changes, this page may be updated to reflect the live service and its operational arrangements.
